The Expendables 3???

In 2010 we finally got to see a movie where a large number of action hero’s make a movie together. It was called “The Expendables” and it featured big name action heroes such as Sylvester Stallone (“Rambo”), Jet Li (“Fearless”) and Bruce Willis (“Die Hard”). Now with a second installment cooling down after being released on DVD imdb.com has announced there is going to be a third installment coming soon.
According to boxoffice.com, both movies earned a little over 28 million dollars for their opening weekends. But we as action fans have to wonder, who is left for a third installment of “The Expendables?” Some fans have already made YouTube videos voicing their opinions who should star in the upcoming film from Steven Segal, (“Above the Law”), Donnie Yen, (“Flashpoint”) and even Kurt Russell, (“Escape from LA”). All great suggestions but it’s going to be hard after the last one featured Jean-Claude Van Damme (“Universal Soldier”) as the villian and even brought in Chuck Norris (“Walker Texas Ranger”) back into the spot light.
Stallone on Twitter has already announced that Wesley Snipes (“Blade”) will be featured in the next installment of the series. Snipes, you may recall, had recently been released from jail after he failed to pay his 2010 taxes after filming his movie, “Game of Death”. He will be serving the rest of his sentence at home until July 19. The last time we saw these two stars together was back in 1993 when they battled  in “Demolition Man”. The ironic thing about casting Snipes was him agreeing to be in the film was announced on Tax Day. This was reported byYahoo Movies and imdb.com.
So far there is no word if all the original cast will return for a third installment from Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV) to even Terry Crews ("White Chicks").
There is also a rumor floating around the web that Mel Gibson (“Braveheart”) will direct this new film, but it’s unclear at this time. The first film was directed by Stallone and the second by Simon West (“Con Air”). So if Gibson directs this next installment will he be able to top the first two?
Another diretor and even may a cast member they are looking at for this is the crazy old man himself, Clint Eastwood ("Gran Torino") According to Clevver Movies on YouTube Eastwood stated that being in the film is not a role he would take however he may direct it if approached with a script.
Also check out this video on who ign.com thinks should be in the third installment of the series.
