The Equalizer! Denzel at his Best!

Image
It’s been awhile since we’ve have seen Denzel Washington in a movie since he stared in “ 2 Guns ” with co star MarkWalburg . " The Equalizer " is by far his best work in the action movie genre.    Based on the 80’s TV show “ The Equalizer ” starring Edward Woodward , the Equalizer at the beginning of the film seems like your normal everyday person. 9 to 5 job, friendly, and you would never expect of what kind of dark past he had. Once Washington’s character befriended a girl named Terri (“ Chole Grace Motez ”) who was under the control of some ultra violent Russian gangsters who almost kill her. Washington decides to take matters into his own hands and the life he thought he left behind will have to be his greatest weapon against the Russians.   Watching this whole movie the story felt very dark and mysterious. As the story unfolds and Washington starts taking out bad guys with ease, you find yourself trying to figure out what the Equalizer’s back story is.  How

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Hey action movie fans! I know it’s been awhile since my last blog,  but now I’m back and plan on bringing you previews and reviews on the latest action films.    In theatres this weekend is the next installment of the Planet of the Apes prequel series. As a fan I was wondering if they were going to make another one of these films since the first prequel “ Rise of the Planet of Ape s” starring James Franco (“ PineappleExpress ”) came out in 2011. With that said this installment does out shine its predecessor by making 20 million more in its opening weekend.     Set 10 years after the escape of Caesar played by Andy Serkis (“ Rise of the Planet of the Apes ”) and his army of genetically evolved apes into the San Francisco wilderness. We see Caesar and the apes in their own habitat living in happin

Legend of Hercules

Photo By: movpins.com As fan of ScottAdkins (“ Expendables 2 ”) who portrayed the bad guy in the recently release of “ The Legend of Hercules ”, I went into watching this film hoping to get the feel of that Adkins’ villainy like he has done in his previous movies.  Adkins proved once again that he still can play a good villain and does great action fight scenes.    This movie has its origins in the story of the Greek demigod hero, Hercules, played by Kellan Lutz (“ Twilight ”), who is betrayed by his step-father King Amphitryon (Adkins) who tried to have him killed by sending him off to war because of his forbidden love with a rival kingdoms princess. Hercules survives and is sold into slavery.   Now Hercules must fight to survive and find his way to back to his love and save his kingdom from Amphitryon.       As I did research on this movie to provide my readers an accurate movie review blog, I noticed other reviews on this movie so as movie fan I read them. Some reviewers
